Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation | Review
January 21, 2017
The foundation claims to be natural and non-opaque, covering up flaws whilst still maintaining a beautiful glow that is buildable to your choice of coverage. Now for me, this foundation definitely lived up to its claims and the flexibility of the foundation makes it worth spending more.
The packaging is stunning - pictures honestly do not show just how pretty it is. It makes me want to have it on show at all times for everyone to admire. Armani pairs the beautiful foundation with a luxurious glass bottle which reflects the high quality and lavish appearance of the product.
The pump is nice and small, making for concise application that does not disperse too much product, making it more easy to work with.

As a fairly pale person, I was surprised that I was not the lightest shade for once, meaning that the shade range is suitable for people with extremely pale skin who may have trouble finding shades/undertones to match their skin. What I appreciate about this foundation is that it is very diverse with the amount of coverage you are wanting, so I don't have to settle on solely using it for light makeup or only for heavy looks! This allows me to get a full use out of the foundation and prompts me to purchase again once I have ran out of the product.
On me, the foundation lives up to its name and wears flawlessly, not being too matte or too dewy and appearing quite fresh and natural, which I have really been loving as usually my face cakes up pretty fast during the day due to my combination skin. With a bit of loose powder, the foundation lasts all day and gives the skin a HD appearance which looks stunning in photos.
When applying the Armani foundation, I have personally found that the best way for me is to partially blend the foundation out with a finger and then further blend out with a beautyblender or a Real Techniques miracle complexion sponge so that I can build it up gradually with it still holding its natural appearance.
Pros
+ Light weight/ natural looking
+ Buildable from to light to full coverage
+ Flawless looking skin
+ Covers up pigmentation on the skin
+ Long wearing
Cons
- Expensive
- Because of the price you may not want to wear it every day
- May only use it for special occasions
- May have to take special care when travelling due to the glass bottle which could break
You did good Armani!
