Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer | Review
November 30, 2016I am always critical of drug store concealers as the majority that I have tried have been very disappointing. Either it has a terrible colour range, is too caky/orange or assumes that every pale person has pink undertones (the struggle).
But FINALLY I have found an inexpensive concealer that looks absolutely gorgeous on the skin and personally is on par with my high end concealers.
The Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer (my shade is 01), which retails for £7.99, has received nothing but praise by others and for good reason! The finish is beautifully dewy and gives a natural, fresh, brightening look to the skin, with a lovely creamy texture that isn't too thick/thin and gives a light to medium coverage that can be built up to a flawless looking full coverage without separating or clinging to any dry patches on the skin.
(Left = the concealer swatched. Right = concealer partially blended)
The dough foot applicator is small which makes it easier to to get into tricky areas and allows for just the right amount of product to be disbursed onto the applicator.
Bourjois has definitely raised the bar for drugstore concealers and the packaging isn't tacky or extremely cheap looking but rather simple yet elegant. Also the staying power is impressive, however, extremely oily skins may want to stay clear of this product as the dewiness may mix with the oils and make you appear shiny more than radiant.
Pros
+ Wears nicely throughout the day
+ Affordable
+ Natural, fresh skin
+ Buildable coverage
Cons
- Very easy to use up product if worn every day
- Partially covers blemishes
Overall, if you are looking for a concealer to brighten the face and under eyes then the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer is definitely worth picking up to try out for yourself without making a large dent in your purse!
